The bowl is smooth with no rough edges and doesn't have any chalk, dust, or tiny particles coming off. I gave it a quick rinse in cold water when I first got it. It fits inside the palm of my hand and fits all of my other smaller crystals that I put inside of it.
This exceeded my expectations. It is well crafted and beautiful. I keep it by by nightstand to hold my crystals and crystal bracelets.I adore that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
