The Flower of Life is one of the basic sacred geometry shapes. The pattern first appeared as a three-dimensional, geometric arrangement of circles in ancient temples and mosques. It was also found on the stone tablets as part of the ancient Egyptian experience.
In Ancient Egypt, the Flower of Life was recognized as a symbol of creation. Before they began building the pyramids, the Ancient Egyptians were fascinated by patterns in nature. They decided to create a "sacred geometry" by using flowers to show the relationship between different shapes and numbers. By creating symmetrical shapes, they discovered that you could reduce a complicated pattern into a small but elegant image like a flower.
The Flower of Life is an important Sacred Geometry Symbol that represents all of creation. It has been used since the beginning of time in the service of sacred space, sacred architecture, sacred art and music , sacred science, and sacred time. It's the original pattern from which all life naturally unfolds, and its form and proportions are echoed in every part of the natural world.
